Reward Coupons and Raffle Tickets: – Classroom Motivation
Looking for an easy and effective way to build positive behaviour in your classroom? A Coupon and Raffle Ticket reward system might be just what you need. When you combine recognition, choice, and a little fun, you’ll find your students more engaged, more cooperative, and more motivated to do their best every single day.
Why Use Reward Coupons?
Reward systems work best when they feel meaningful and personal. Classroom Coupons allow students to earn privileges they actually want. Whether it’s swapping desks for a day or having lunch with a friend, these simple but exciting rewards give students something to look forward to—and something to work for.
You can set up your coupon system in a way that suits your style and your students. The flexibility of this pack makes it easy to integrate into any classroom management routine.
What’s Included in the Reward Coupon Pack?
This Classroom Coupon Pack includes a wide variety of coupons to suit different personalities and interests. Each coupon is available in full colour and black and white. Print the black and white versions on coloured card to save ink and create a vibrant set your students will love. Laminating the coupons ensures they last all year long.
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the coupons you’ll find in the pack:
-
Comedy Gig – Tell a joke or riddle each day for a week
-
Desk Swap Gig – Switch desks with someone for a day
-
Drawing Gig – Draw for one hour
-
Friend Gig – Enjoy lunch with a friend
-
Homework Gig – No homework for an entire week
-
Music Gig – Listen to your own music for an hour
-
Reading Gig – Read any book of your choice
-
Sock Gig – Take your shoes off for the day
-
Sport Gig – Run a game for the grade
-
Teacher Day Gig – Help run the classroom for a day
And many more! From stationery privileges to free choice writing, every coupon gives students a sense of independence and pride.
How to Use Coupons and Raffle Tickets Effectively
After using these for several years, I’ve found two highly effective ways to implement this reward system:
-
On-the-Spot Recognition
When you notice a student making a positive choice or demonstrating classroom values, offer them a coupon. Let them pick one and decide when to use it. This instant recognition reinforces positive behaviour and encourages others to follow suit. -
Weekly Raffle Draw with Tickets
Use Raffle Tickets to reward values-based behaviours. Students write their names on the back and enter them into the weekly draw. At the end of the week, draw 10 to 20 names, and those students can swap their winning ticket for a coupon of their choice. Some students even save their tickets and choose not to enter the draw right away—this teaches delayed gratification and self-management.
Note: I don’t laminate the raffle tickets so students can write on them, but I always laminate the coupons to ensure durability.
Both methods keep the classroom positive, proactive, and student-centred.
Easy to Use, Easy to Adapt
This resource suits any grade level and works well alongside other classroom management strategies. Whether you’re rewarding effort, behaviour, teamwork, or kindness, these Classroom Coupons and Raffle Tickets make positive reinforcement feel exciting and achievable.
Conclusion
Setting up a reward system doesn’t need to be complicated. When you use coupons that offer meaningful choices, you encourage students to take ownership of their behaviour and celebrate their successes. Over time, you’ll notice more smiles, stronger routines, and a classroom culture that thrives on respect and motivation.
